  1. Mood swings are a hallmark of estrogen imbalance. Premenstrual syndrome, postpartum depression, and anxiety and depression are all linked to your estrogen production.
  2. Digestive problems are known to be linked to hormonal problems. Your gut contains a completely unique set of bacteria — known as your microbiome — that, when working well, is exquisitely balanced. When your hormones are thrown off, however, you notice everything from bloating to nausea and diarrhea.
